Job summary

Zoom is seeking a hands-on Technical SEO Lead for our Website Engineering team. You will own the technical SEO foundation across Optimizely, WordPress, custom apps, and modern frontend frameworks, translating search strategy into scalable production solutions.

You will collaborate closely with SEO, Website Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver high-impact implementations, automation, and governance that improve organic visibility and revenue across traditional and AI-powered

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical SEO, web engineering, or a related discipline with leadership of initiatives across large-scale sites.
• Deep expertise in crawlability, indexation, rendering, canonicalization, redirects, URL architecture, XML sitemaps, robots directives, structured data, and JavaScript-based apps; hands-on coding in JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven experience improving web performance and Core Web Vitals with diagnostics across JS, rendering, caching, and server performance.
• Experience building scalable SEO capabilities, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD quality gates across Optimizely and WordPress.
• Strong understanding of Schema.org, JSON-LD, semantic HTML for AI/AEO/search platforms; familiarity with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical SEO roadmap across Zoom's global web ecosystem, prioritizing initiatives from audits, crawl data, and business priorities.
• Translate SEO/AEO requirements into technical designs, production implementations, and ongoing maintenance across CMS and modern frontend frameworks.
• Own technical solutions for crawlability, indexability, structured data, redirects, URL architecture, and metadata; drive standards across development lifecycle.
• Build reusable SEO capabilities, automated sitemap generation, internal-linking systems, and standardized SEO configurations.
• Drive Core Web Vitals improvements and performance optimization including LCP, CLS, INP, and image/font loading.
• Develop automated tests, dashboards, CI/CD gates, and monitoring to detect and prevent SEO regressions in production.
• Define and maintain technical SEO standards and governance across Optimizely, WordPress, and custom apps.
• Collaborate with SEO, Content, Product Marketing, Web Engineering, and senior stakeholders to align strategies with measurable outcomes.
