Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic IT programs. You will lead programs from planning through sustainment, reporting benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, balance scope and risks, and drive continuous improvement across PMO processes to deliver transformative outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in IT program management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Solid credibility with technical teams to assess risks and issues.
• Experience leading IT programs involving Enterprise Applications.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading program definition, planning, scope, and execution of assigned programs; monitor health and mitigate risks.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures and deliverables.
• Identify dependencies across programs and size/lead transformations.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report status to executives and governance forums.
• Work independently in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice guidelines to improve PMO processes.
