Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior software leader to head a team delivering back-end and front-end systems for engines and propulsion software. You will guide requirements, architecture, and releases in collaboration with aerospace customers and engineers.

The role emphasizes end-to-end software development, agile practices, and translating domain challenges into practical software solutions within the Blue Engines unit.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or engineering fields.
• Minimum of 5+ years of software or data product development experience.
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and/or verification & test of hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to manage development of complex end-to-end software.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to develop requirements and define problem spaces.
• Transform abstract requests into clearly defined requirements.
• Develop and maintain product vision, development package, and roadmap.
• Lead software life cycle from design to deployment of back-end and front-end systems.
• Create and maintain product artifacts to support development and business needs.
• Coordinate priorities to enable incremental delivery of functionality.
• Capture user feedback and integrate into releases.
• Work in an agile team framework with demos and Sprints.
