Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead Technology Development Programs within Enterprise Technology. You will collaborate with product management and engineering to define long-term product visions, scope, milestones, and deliver cross-organizational initiatives.

You will manage overall program scope, strategy, and cross-team delivery with a data-driven mindset. The role requires deep technical understanding, leadership, and a passion for safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams in product management, program management or engineering roles.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, development, testing and deployment of features into production across multiple technical teams.
• Create and track project milestones, risks and dependencies, describe, own and prioritize all technical requirements associated with delivery.
• Dive deep and understand the design details of the systems in your area, especially those related to customer interfaces, and the expectations for system dependencies.
• Identify existing systems or services will require changes in order to implement the new capability, work with the SDM for each system to estimate the work involved.
• Develop an implementation plan across teams.
• Demonstrate good judgment in how and when to elevate critical program decisions.
• Write effective narratives on program decisions, technical trade-offs and program updates.
