Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Aerospace Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of software critical to mission success. You will mentor engineers, tackle onboard flight control, data processing, and simulation tools, and drive full lifecycle development in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with front-end and/or back-end application development.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• US citizenship or equivalent status per applicant requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software applications for aerospace systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, mission designers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and architecture.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Develop user interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and meet operator needs.
• Create and maintain software for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Develop and maintain simulation software for testing and verification of aerospace systems.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
