Job summary

M.C. Dean’s Critical Power Group seeks an experienced engineer to lead regional technical support for complex UPS and critical power equipment—providing diagnostics, maintenance guidance, and customer-facing technical leadership.

The role emphasizes collaboration with OEMs and internal teams, overseeing field service activities, and mentoring technicians while driving project efficiency and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE preferred) with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex instructions, plans, blueprints, and schematics.
• Deep knowledge of NEC and electrical maintenance practices.
• Ability to travel to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the region's primary technical resource for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and equipment support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to field technicians.
• Support regional technicians during emergency service events, major repairs, startups, commissioning activities, and escalations.
• Coordinate with OEMs, Technical Support, Engineering, and subject matter experts.
• Lead onboarding and training for new technicians in the region.
• Develop and execute regional technician training plans.
• Monitor field service reports, quotations, and inspections.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
