Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Technical Escalation Engineer to operate at the heart of our observability and security platform. You will tackle complex escalations, mentor Global Support Engineering, and partner with Engineering and Product to drive platform improvements.

You’ll become the go-to Agent expert, working across Linux, Windows, and MacOS, with Docker/Kubernetes and scripting to streamline troubleshooting in a Hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with CLIs, APIs and config files (YAML/JSON).
• Experience with containers like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comfort with scripting (Python, Go, or Bash) to improve troubleshooting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical expertise as the product evolves.
• Investigate complex escalations and drive solutions for critical customer challenges.
• Lead office hours and mentor the Global Support Engineering team.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to drive platform improvements.
• Become the go-to expert on Agent at the company.
• Triage and resolve Agent-related escalations (deployments, performance, integrations, telemetry).
