Job summary

The Freeman Company seeks a Technical Director to develop, oversee, and implement technical concepts and strategy for clients. You will lead technical leadership, staffing, and production planning from opportunity through delivery, coordinating pre-, on-site, and post-production activities within budget.

The role is hybrid with travel to show sites (Dallas, TX focus) and requires close collaboration with clients, sales, operations, and project managers to ensure optimal event designs and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive project management experience in large events or productions.
• Proven ability to engineer instructions in diagrams and written form.
• Strong CAD and technical design capabilities across audio, lighting, video, and set systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements creative technical concepts and strategy for clients.
• Oversees production process from opportunity to completion, including staffing and scheduling.
• Coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities within budget.
• Lead and mentor teams; manage client contracts and resource allocation.
• Ensure safety standards and SOPs for Studio Blue production workflows.
