Job summary

The Freeman Company in Orlando, FL is seeking a Technical Director to lead, plan, and implement technical strategy for client productions. The role involves high-level technical leadership, staffing coordination, and ensuring show design parameters are met across multiple sites.

Hybrid work with travel to show sites is expected. Ideal candidates have extensive project management experience in corporate events or theater, with CAD and technical systems expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develops senior level relationships with clients that position Studio Blue as a strategic partner advisor.
• Coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget.
• Mentor and coach team members for development and growth.
• Negotiate client contracts on behalf of Sales representative.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site labor and review labor budget impacts.
