Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking an experienced designer for the New Glenn Upper Stage. You will create and maintain 3D models, develop production drawings, and support GD&T details for aerospace components.

Collaborate across design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure producibility, manage BOMs and configuration control in Teamcenter, and participate in design reviews (PDR/CDR). Applicants must have a technical degree and 3+ years in aerospace design, with Creo proficiency and ASME

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical design or drafting in aerospace/defense/advanced manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo preferred).
• Experience applying GD&T principles per ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems for drawing and configuration management.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D models and CAD assemblies for Upper Stage components.
• Develop drawings and GD&T callouts per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Collaborate on design iterations, trade studies, and design reviews (PDR, CDR).
• Interface with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure producibility.
• Manage and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, and configuration control in PLM (Teamcenter).
