Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Cognizant Engineer to own the design, definition, and delivery of flight hardware for the New Glenn upper stage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce simple, low-cost fluid system designs that meet functional requirements for spaceflight.

You will guide CAD modeling, analysis, and testing, while mentoring other designers and ensuring manufacturability, cost control, and schedule adherence. A strong focus on safety and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in aerospace propulsion or fluid systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD (Creo) and FEA tools.
• Experience with P&IDs and propulsion/fluid components.

Responsibilities

• Define component/system requirements.
• Lead design and analysis of components/systems.
• Own design for in-house components; collaborate with suppliers.
• Lead testing, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Manage project plans: cost, schedule, risk.
• Mentor and review contributions from other designers.
