Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned engineer to design, analyze, and test primary and secondary structures for the New Glenn second stage. You will own designs from concept through launch, sizing, and collaboration with manufacturing to ensure seamless hardware integration.

Preferred candidates have strong hands-on experience with structural mechanics, hand calculations, and FE codes such as Nastran/ANSYS/Abaqus, plus a track record across full product lifecycle in aerospace environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of structural design and analysis experience on aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
• Proficiency with Creo, Windchill, and PLM software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development and testing of primary and secondary structures.
• Create 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Develop test plans and documentation for flight hardware.
• Provide manufacturing support and participate in trade studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for materials, processes and suppliers.
