Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced structural engineer to lead design, analysis, and testing of primary and secondary structures for its New Glenn second stage. You will own designs from concept through launch, sizing, and coordination with manufacturing teams to ensure successful hardware integration.

The role requires strong knowledge of 3D CAD, GD&T, and finite element methods, with experience on aerospace vehicles or launch systems. A bachelor's in engineering and U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Experience in structural design of metallic components and assemblies; vehicle load path distribution; first order strength assessment and sizing.
• Familiar with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
• Knowledge of Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater and Windchill 10.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic piece parts, and integrated assemblies.
• Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware and integration guidance.
• Plan, coordinate, conduct tests, and review test data.
• Maintain activity schedule, budget and technical status.
