Job summary

Blue Origin, located in Seattle, is looking for a seasoned aerospace mechanical designer to support the New Glenn program. This role involves creating engineering drawings and models, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and applying your technical skills for the safety of human spaceflight.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in the aerospace field, extensive knowledge of CAD software such as Creo, and will enjoy a collaborative environment focused on innovation and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of recent experience designing/drafting aerospace or automotive components.
• Hands-on experience with hardware on the production floor.
• Strong experience managing large CAD assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and revise released drawings based on engineering change requests.
• Design and maintain product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings.
• Support existing standards for product structure organization and naming.

Skills

Mechanical design and integration skills

3-D CAD software proficiency

Experience with Creo (Pro/Engineer) and Windchill

Education

A.S. degree or equivalent experience
