Job summary

EY seeks a seasoned Technical Delivery Manager to drive day‑to‑day execution of engineering teams building EY’s AI platform. You will own delivery cadence, interrogate estimates, and ensure work ships on committed dates across Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and model serving infrastructure.

You will lead stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning while maintaining a live risk view and clear trade‑offs to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in technical delivery, engineering project or program management with direct accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Hands-on engineering background or equivalent technical depth enabling credible technical questioning.
• Experience evaluating estimates, decomposing work, and challenging them with evidence.
• Proven track record running Scrum or Kanban for experienced teams and managing multi‑team programs.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery cadence: run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track in-flight items through to completion and surface slippage as it occurs.
• Hold engineers to clear definitions of done and dated commitments; escalate when delivery is at risk.
• Interrogate estimates, challenge padding, and hold teams to realistic scope and timing.
• Break down work into independently deliverable stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Plan sprints and releases across multi‑phase platform builds; defend entry/exit gates.
• Coordinate dependencies across platform, infrastructure, data, and observability groups.
• Maintain a live view of risks and dependencies, driving mitigation to closure.
• Report delivery status with evidence including velocity, throughput, and cycle time.
• Protect team focus from interruptions and competing stakeholder demands.
• Partner with engineering leads and architects on sequencing and technical direction.
