We are looking for a highly capable Senior General Liability Bodily Injury Technical Claims Specialist to join our team, working from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, Richmond (VA), Rockwood (PA), or San Antonio. This role involves adjudicating complex general liability bodily injury claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adjudicate complex claims under limited oversight, including New York Labor Law claims, with significant impact on departmental results.
• Conduct detailed investigations and analysis to resolve issues.
• Report claims trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Analyze claims forms, policies, endorsements, and client instructions to determine coverage.
• Investigate claims thoroughly, including interviewing involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely case resolution.
• Set and adjust claim reserves considering policy wording impacts.
• Identify loss drivers and trends to reduce claims frequency and severity.
• Coordinate expertise resources for case resolution.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.
• Negotiate complex settlement packages cost-effectively.
• Prioritize workload, manage correspondence, and maintain communication with involved parties.
• Apply creative solutions for optimal financial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven years’ experience adjudicating commercial general liability bodily injury claims with exposures of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor preferred. Alternatively, two insurance designations or four additional years of relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Knowledge of claims reserving techniques and ability to assess reserve accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
• Valid claims licensing or ability to obtain licenses within 120 days, depending on jurisdiction.

Additional Information:

This role requires working in-office five days a week to foster culture and team connection. The physical demands are typical of an office environment, primarily involving PC use.
