Job description

Our client is a technology-driven carrier that specializes in simplifying and expediting small business insurance. Their mission is to make a small commercial insurance effortless through digital innovation and a partnership-based approach.

We are looking for and experienced Liability Claims Specialist. Must have experience with slip/falls, bodily injury, severe injuries, contractual capacity, risk transfer and be generally interested in working for a technology forward insurance company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategy to resolve Commercial P&C, GL, Property Liability claims on very challenging and complex accounts
• Investigate, identify, and assess coverage issues, draft coverage positions letters, and retain coverage counsel
• Analyze and direct initial risk transfer, subrogation/salvage action, additional insured issues, and contractual indemnity issues, to ensure equitable contributions
• Manage the litigation process including retaining counsel and directing counsel on resolution strategy
• Attend mediations and trials relevant to resolution

Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of claims experience with BI/Bodily Injuries from a Liability perspective
• Excellent collaboration, communication, evaluation, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
• Proper adjuster licensing in applicable states
• Legal concept and process knowledge base
