Overview

The Senior Claim Representative/Claim Consultant role within the Complex Claims Unit - Construction (BI/PD) involves managing construction-related general liability claims involving bodily injury and property damage. This specialized role requires handling complex fact patterns, contract analysis, coverage issues, and often litigation, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and effective claim resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage medium to high exposure claims with analytical focus and strategic resolution.
  • Communicate proactively with customers and partners.
  • Review complex policies and coverage issues.
  • Investigate claims and lawsuits.
  • Manage litigation, including planning, budgeting, and strategy.
  • Assess liability and damages.
  • Pursue coverage and risk transfer opportunities.
  • Contribute to loss cost management through subrogation and investigations.
  • Participate in mediations and trials as needed.
  • Manage expenses, reserves, and financial transactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office; Property & Casualty license preferred.
Work Arrangements & Compensation

This role offers hybrid or remote work options. Candidates near specified office locations are expected to work in-office 3 days/week; others may work remotely with occasional office visits. The salary range is $61,600 - $126,000 annually, based on experience and performance, with additional incentives and benefits.
