Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Technology Underwriter to join our growing team in a hybrid or remote arrangement. You will underwrite technology-focused mid-market and complex accounts, applying technical and sales skills to drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities include portfolio management, pricing analysis, and mentoring team members, with a focus on cyber, tech liability, and professional coverages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10+ years of standard commercial lines and 5+ years Technology Industry experience.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong judgment and decision making.
• Agile and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Prioritization and desk management.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and prices technology-focused commercial lines with guidance.
• Manages portfolio to meet gross written premium and retention goals.
• Analyzes metrics and market factors to identify growth opportunities.
• Identifies and pursues opportunities with agents for profitable growth.
• Delivers presentations to agents and customers on complex accounts.
