The Hanover Insurance Group, a seasoned insurer with a strong North American footprint, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Technology Underwriter. The role supports underwriting technology risks, pricing decisions and portfolio management in a hybrid or remote setting from the United States.

You will work with a cross-functional team, mentor colleagues, and drive profitable growth while maintaining adherence to guidelines and appetite.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Generally, 5-10+ years standard commercial lines and 5+ years Technology Industry experience.
• Communication (written and verbal) - ability to interact with all levels and consult on underwriting matters.
• Judgment and Decision Making - able to exercise sound business decisions.
• Agile and Adaptative - ability to adapt to change and manage multiple projects.
• Teamwork and Collaboration - works well in a matrix environment.
• Prioritization and Desk Management - manages timelines and deliverables.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for underwriting and selling new and renewal Middle Market accounts in Technology appetite.
• Understands pricing components and rating methodology and correlates pricing to exposure and analysis.
• Completes file documentation and explains account decisions clearly.
• Mentors underwriters and acts as a knowledge resource for the team.
• Develops portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability and retention goals.
