Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Technical Recruiter to support engineering and architecture staffing on a remote basis across the United States. This role reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition.

You will recruit engineers and architects for data centers, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and related infrastructure, managing sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding while building proactive pipelines and credible outreach.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of recruiting experience in AEC, engineering consulting, construction, infrastructure, or related technical field.
• Ability to recruit passive, hard-to-find professionals across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of technical credentials and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Recruiting HR Account Leader to align with team needs.
• Support full lifecycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
• Build and prioritize talent pipelines ahead of demand.
• Develop sourcing strategies beyond LinkedIn, including Boolean searches, referrals, and market mapping.
• Identify passive professionals and engage them with credible outreach.
• Conduct thorough candidate screens covering discipline, credentials, and compensation.
• Present qualified slate with market context and recommendations.
• Maintain strong candidate experience and accurate ATS records.
• Use data to measure sourcing effectiveness and adjust approaches.
