Job summary

Acxiom is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex client, vendor, and data licensing agreements, especially in adtech, martech, and data-driven services.

The role requires managing sophisticated negotiations, advising senior stakeholders, and developing contracting standards while mentoring the Legal team in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, incl. negotiating sophisticated commercial/tech transactions; 12+ years preferred.
• Experience independently leading negotiations involving tech, data, SaaS, licensing, or services.
• Exceptional drafting/negotiation skills; identify material risks and craft practical solutions.
• Strong business judgment balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Independently draft, review and negotiate complex client, vendor, technology, data licensing, and strategic partnership agreements (adtech/martech).
• Provide practical strategic legal advice to Sales and business leaders.
• Develop negotiation strategies for high-value transactions and communicate risks clearly.
• Partner with Privacy to address data protection, security, and regulatory requirements in agreements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Privacy, Finance, Security, Product, and Operations to resolve deal issues.
