Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking a seasoned production supervisor to lead manufacturing teams in a fast-paced plant in Michigan. You will mentor staff, drive lean initiatives and ensure adherence to standardized work, safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate shift activities, monitor performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain output and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with or ability to be trained on TWI JI/JR, 5S & LPA, PTM, Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams to meet safety, quality, timing, cost and motivation targets.
• Perform shift-start/end activities, review previous shift data, and assign work based on attendance and training.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and MAFACT/PDCA problem-solving.
• Ensure proper training and cross-training, maintain training matrices, and enforce standardized work.
