Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Michigan seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements and equipment rollouts for new quotes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specs, develop standardized work, and ensure successful deployment on the plant floor.

Required are a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing with lean methods, CAD experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. ERP/MRP and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing or production environment; lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with process optimization, root-cause analysis, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Establish process flow and operations to support new quotes.
• Lead PFMEA with cross-functional team.
• Define equipment specs and manage quotes.
• Roll out equipment and processes to the plant floor.
• Develop standardized work and job element sheets.
