Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor to lead a production team, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity while applying 5S, LPA, and standard work principles.

You will oversee shift start/end activities, conduct audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily objectives and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members and manage conflict in fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work weekends when needed.
• Proven leadership and training abilities; willingness to attend training.
• Proficient in Lean tools and problem-solving approaches (5S, LPA, Mafact).
• Experience with standard work, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a manufacturing team to meet production targets.
• Train new and existing direct reports via TWI and SWI methods.
• Perform start-of-shift and end-of-shift activities including safety, quality, and productivity checks.
• Conduct weekly audits of team members to ensure Standardized Work (SWI) adherence.
• Drive OEE improvements through lean manufacturing practices and kaizen events.
• Escalate issues to supervisors within defined timelines.
