Job summary

Magna International in Michigan seeks a seasoned Assembly & Sequencing leader to drive performance, quality and delivery. You will coordinate staffing, layout production spaces, and coach teams in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The role requires a technical or business degree and strong experience with OSHA regulations, MIS and ERP systems. Regular duties include ensuring TS-16949 compliance and leading continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field; 12 years related experience may substitute.
Implementation knowledge of OSHA health and safety regulations.
Operational knowledge of management information systems and office software.

Responsibilities

Participate in daily team meetings and contribute ideas to meet performance objectives.
Coordinate use of facilities, equipment, materials and staff to meet objectives.
Train team leaders and members in teamwork within a positive environment.
Lead assembly activities to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
Track timesheets, attendance, and ensure timely performance reviews.
Coordinate staffing and address personnel issues promptly.
Develop ergonomic production layouts to optimize processes.
Ensure TS-16949 procedures and work guidances are followed.
Participate in APQP activities for control plans and work instructions.
Drive continuous improvement and support requested initiatives.
Ensure accidents are reported and investigations completed within 24 hours.
Fill in for Team Leader when needed, and perform other duties.
