Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group, based in Boca Raton, FL (with offices in Columbia, MD, New York City, Orlando, FL, and Tysons Corner, VA), seeks a Tax Supervisor to lead audits and supervise staff. You will engage in planning, client relationship building, and complex tax work across entities.

The role emphasizes preparing complex returns, reviewing senior-level filings, tax research, and identifying planning opportunities; travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA with parts passed.
• Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Preparing high net worth individual returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity C corp., S corp. and partnership returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity individual returns.
• Researching and drafting memoranda involving complex tax matters.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolving tax controversies.
• Training and supervision of staff accountants.
