Job summary

Withum is seeking a Tax Supervisor to lead all aspects of audit engagements for multiple offices including Whippany, NJ. You will supervise staff, mentor junior CPAs, and build strong client relationships while delivering tax planning and compliance expertise.

The role requires a CPA (or progress toward) with 4+ years in public accounting, strong communication, leadership, and willingness to travel as needed. Office locations include Nashville, NYC, Orlando, and Whippany.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA or working toward CPA with parts passed.
• MS in Taxation preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex multistate S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Preparing high net worth individual returns.
• Reviewing mid-level multistate complexity S corp. and partnership tax returns.
• Reviewing mid-level complexity individual returns.
• Researching and drafting memos on complex tax matters.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolving tax controversies. Training and supervision of staff accountants.
