Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Tax Product Development to own end-to-end delivery of large features. You will define architecture, collaborate across global teams, and guide junior engineers in a hybrid in-person and virtual environment.

The role requires 6+ years with the Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JS), SQL Server/Azure SQL, and CI/CD experience. You will mentor peers, ensure security compliance, and align software with business goals.

Qualifications

• Six+ years building web apps on the Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JS).
• Six+ years designing SQL schemas in SQL Server/Azure SQL or NOSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD/DevOps pipelines and Azure portal.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and implementation of major tax-system features within an Agile team.
• Designs, develops, tests software using web and cloud technologies for tax products.
• Maintains secure coding practices and reduces technical debt across projects.
• Mentors engineers to improve code quality and performance and standards.
• Collaborates with architects, security, and cross-functional teams.
