Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Tax Product Development to own end-to-end delivery of major tax software features, defining requirements and architecture, and collaborating with global teams in a hybrid work environment.

You will mentor engineers, design cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft stack, and ensure security and compliance while aligning software delivery with business goals.

Qualifications

• Six+ years building web apps on the Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JS frameworks).
• Six+ years designing SQL Server/Azure SQL schemas and stored procedures.
• CI/CD/DevOps pipelines experience and Azure familiarity.
• Strong OO design, data modeling and design patterns; code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and implementation of major tax systems and features in an Agile team.
• Designs, develops, and tests web/cloud tax products; ensures quality delivery.
• Mentor engineers, improve code quality, and reduce technical debt.
• Ensure security, compliance, and alignment with business goals.
