Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Tax Product Development to own end-to-end delivery of large features or systems, defining requirements and architecture for tax products. This role collaborates across global teams in a hybrid (in-person and virtual) work environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years building web-based apps on the Microsoft stack, strong cloud and CI/CD experience, and the ability to mentor engineers while delivering high-quality tax software solutions.

Qualifications

• Six or more years building web-based apps on the Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript frameworks).
• Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience in designing and automating CI/CD/DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of major tax-related systems within an Agile team.
• Develop, test, and deploy software using web and cloud technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers to improve code quality and reduce technical debt.
