The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Tax Manager / Senior Manager in Latham, NY to lead tax engagements for a growing Capital Region office. This role offers an established client portfolio, a local team, and the resources of a broader regional firm.

Candidates at Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager level will be considered, with potential path to Principal or Partner. The successful candidate will manage key client relationships, oversee federal and state tax compliance, and mentor Albany‑area staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public‑accounting experience.
• Strong tax compliance and planning knowledge.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Experience serving closely held or owner‑operated businesses.
• Demonstrated client‑relationship management capabilities.
• Previous staff supervision or team leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and executive presence.

Responsabilités

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, owners and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Oversight of federal/state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax‑planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise and develop Albany‑area staff.
• Coordinate client work across multiple offices.
• Support long‑standing client relationships and growth initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Contribute to the office’s long‑term growth and strategic direction.
