The successful candidate will manage key client relationships, oversee federal and state tax compliance and planning, mentor staff, and help shape the office’s long‑term growth toward Principal or Partner, with relocation support if needed.

Qualifikationen

• CPA license and public‑accounting experience.
• Experience managing tax engagements for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Strong tax compliance and planning knowledge.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple engagements.
• Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Aufgaben

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax‑planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, workflow, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise, coach and develop Albany-area employees.
• Coordinate client work and technical resources across multiple offices.
• Help transition and strengthen longstanding client relationships.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Participate in the office’s long‑term growth and strategic direction.
