Food Management Search is seeking a Tax Manager / Senior Manager in Latham, NY to lead tax engagements for a growing regional practice. You will manage important client relationships, oversee federal and state tax planning, and guide a local team within a larger regional organization.

Candidates with CPA credentials and progressive public-accounting experience will have opportunities to advance toward Principal or Partner. Relocation support may be considered.

Qualifications

• Progressive public-accounting experience.
• Strong tax compliance and planning knowledge.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individual returns.
• Experience serving closely held or owner-operated businesses.
• Demonstrated client-relationship management capabilities.
• Previous staff supervision, coaching or team-leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, professional judgment and executive presence.
• Current Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsabilités

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax-planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, workflow, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise, coach and develop Albany-area employees.
• Coordinate client work and technical resources across multiple offices.
• Help transition and strengthen longstanding client relationships.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Participate in the office’s long-term growth and strategic direction.
