Job summary

AEP Energy in Canton, OH is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist Sr for full life cycle recruiting of corporate/exempt roles such as engineers and project managers. The role requires independence, and ability to support both technical and non-technical positions within an assigned territory.

Onsite position with remote training during the first month (week of November 17). Prefer candidates living within 50 miles of the Canton office; travel to nearby AEP facilities if required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Five years of corporate recruitment experience including 3 years with electronic applicant systems and internet sourcing.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience recruiting engineers and project managers for exempt professional roles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring manager and HRBP to determine staffing needs.
• Screens resumes, interviews candidates by phone or in person, administers assessments, and makes hiring recommendations.
• Manages ATS and candidate activity; coordinates interviews and offers.
• Develops strong relationships with internal and external clients to meet staffing goals.
• Ensures onboarding and new hire orientation processes occur; ensures compliance with laws.
