Job summary

SCS Engineers seeks a Talent Acquisition Sector Lead for Experienced Talent (Engineers & Scientists) to drive full-cycle recruitment and strategic initiatives. Based in Long Beach with a hybrid schedule, you’ll mentor a small TA team, partner with managers, and shape hiring with scalable pipelines and creative outreach.

You’ll oversee recruiting for senior and niche roles, ensure compliant processes, and help advance employer branding while reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years of recruiting experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of internal recruiting experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience required.
• Must have experience recruiting for niche mid and/or senior-level roles.
• Experience recruiting mid and senior-level engineers; experience with AEC consulting is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% required.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as recruiting lead for experienced engineers and scientists, overseeing full-cycle recruiting.
• Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing strategies aligned with workforce needs.
• Own and drive full lifecycle recruiting for high-priority roles.
• Build pipelines using sourcing tools, networking, and CRM campaigns.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand business objectives and talent needs.
• Lead sector-specific recruiting programs and initiatives.
• Analyze recruiting metrics and market conditions to identify improvements.
• Mentor Talent Acquisition staff and assist with onboarding.
