Rex Moore is seeking a Systems Technician to install and service low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. The role involves programing, commissioning and startup of fire alarm, security, access control, and surveillance systems on commercial sites.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, collaboration with foremen and electricians, and a commitment to reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Holds current Fire Life Safety card
• Holds current ACE card
• Demonstrates proficiency in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products/services
• Effectively communicates with managers, sales, foremen, general contractors and customers
• Demonstrates initiative and organizational skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• EST Certification preferred
• NICET Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of Low Voltage systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control, Surveillance)
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in
• Supervises, directs, monitors, trains and works with helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians
• Instructs employees in proper tool operation, safe work principles and technical concepts
• Provides input on employee evaluations
• Completes all assignment-related paperwork accurately and timely
• Attends all foreman meetings
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance
• Collaborates with Fire Marshal on final inspections
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses installation/programming issues
• Identifies and facilitates jobsite inspections
