Job summary

Rex Moore is seeking a Systems Technician to install and service low voltage systems on commercial projects in California. You will program, commission and start-up fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance systems while ensuring code compliance and quality workmanship.

The role involves installation and testing of devices, supervising assistants, coordinating with foremen and customers, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Holds current Fire Life Safety card.
• Holds current ACE card.
• Demonstrates proficiency in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products and services.
• Effectively communicates with managers, sales, foremen, general contractors and customers.
• Demonstrates good initiative and keeps organized & busy throughout the work day.

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of Low Voltage systems including but not limited to Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance.
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in.
• Supervises, directs, monitors, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians.
• Attends foreman meetings and coordinates inspections with Customer and Field Service Manager.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose installation and programming issues.
