Job summary

Rex Moore in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Systems Technician to install and service electrical systems while complying with national, state, and local codes. The role focuses on low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance, with up to 25% travel and full-time hours.

You will supervise helpers, install and test devices, and collaborate with project teams to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Holds current Fire Life Safety card.
• Holds current ACE card.
• Proficient in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products.
• Excellent communication with managers, foremen, contractors and customers.
• Strong initiative and organized workload.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• EST Certification preferred.
• NICET Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of Low Voltage systems including but not limited to (Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control and Surveillance).
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in.
• Supervises, directs, monitors, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians.
• Instructs employees assisting them in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work principles and technical principles that are being used.
• Provides input on employee evaluations.
• Completes all assignment-related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Attends all foreman meetings.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance with minimal loss of work time.
• Collaborates with Fire Marshal on project final inspections.
• Effectively trouble shoot and diagnose installation and programming issues.
• Identifies, schedules and facilitates all jobsite related inspections with Customer and Field Service Manager.
