Rex Moore Electrical & Systems Contractors & Engineers in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Systems Technician to install and repair low-voltage electrical systems while adhering to national, state, and local codes. You will program, commission and start-up systems such as fire alarm, security and access control, while supervising helpers and coordinating inspections.

Qualifications

• Holds current Fire Life Safety card.
• Holds current ACE card.
• Proficient in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products and services.
• Effective communicates with managers, foremen, contractors and customers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; NICET/EST certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance.
• Install and test low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in.
• Supervise and train helpers, installers and telecom techs on safety and technical principles.
• Ensure timely completion of assignment-related paperwork and participate in foreman meetings.
• Coordinate with Fire Marshal on final inspections and troubleshooting.
