Job summary

Rex Moore in Reno, NV is seeking a Systems Technician to install and repair electrical systems while ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes. The role focuses on low voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, access control and surveillance.

You will supervise teams, coordinate inspections, and troubleshoot issues, with opportunities for career growth in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Holds current Fire Life Safety card.
• Holds current ACE card.
• Demonstrates proficiency in fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance products/services.
• Effective communication with managers, foremen, general contractors and customers.
• NICET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, commission and start-up of low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance.
• Installation and testing of low voltage devices, wiring and rough-in.
• Supervises, directs, trains and works alongside helpers, installers, telecom techs or electricians.
• Instructs employees assisting them in tool operation and safety principles.
• Completes assignment paperwork accurately and timely.
• Collaborates with Fire Marshal on project inspections.
• Troubleshoots installation and programming issues.
