Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned SEIT engineer to advance safety, reliability, and risk for the New Glenn program. You will work across subsystems to ensure rigorous system safety implementation, traceability, and performance monitoring.

The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and delivering safe human spaceflight solutions. You will apply your expertise in safety analysis and system integration while mentoring peers and contributing to a culture of mission assurance within a fast-paced

Qualifications

BS in engineering or related field
8+ years of integrated systems experience
Experience with system engineering principles
Experience in analysis, design, or integrated testing
Engineering experience in fluids, thermal, propulsion, avionics, electrical hardware, telemetry/communications, or structural
Strong communication and time management
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful status

Responsibilities

Create and review system safety analyses including Hazard Assessments and FMEA/FMECAs/HAZOPs
Assess safety products for compliance with NASA, FAA, MIL-STD-882, ARP-4761
Implement and maintain system safety processes and drive continuous improvement
Train and mentor engineers in system safety risk identification and analysis
Work with systems engineering to verify compliance with safety requirements
Assist in generating metrics and reports on system safety status
Foster a healthy culture of system safety for New Glenn
