Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a seasoned SEIT system safety engineer to advance the New Glenn launch vehicle program, applying rigorous safety analyses and systems engineering methods across subsystems. You will mentor engineers, drive safety culture, and help deliver reliable spaceflight hardware in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience within integrated systems.
• Experience with system engineering principles.
• Experience in analysis, design, or integrated testing.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and perform reviews of system safety analyses including Hazard Assessments, FMECAs/HAZOPs, Fault Trees, CCAs, Reliability Predictions, RBDs, and Safety Sheets.
• Evaluate safety products and requirements for compliance with internal and external standards (NASA, FAA, MIL-STD-882, ARP-4761).
• Implement and maintain system safety processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Train and mentor engineers on identifying and analyzing system safety risks.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and subsystem engineers to verify compliance with system safety requirements.
