Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a senior SEIT engineer for system safety, reliability, and risk work on the New Glenn program. You will develop processes and products for design and evaluation of the vehicle and facilities, collaborating across subsystems to deliver integrated solutions.

Requires a BS in engineering, 8+ years in integrated systems, and strong knowledge of system safety and reliability methods. On-site work in WA, CO, or FL offices with a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience within integrated systems.
• Experience with system engineering principles.
• Experience in at least one of the areas of analysis, design, or integrated testing.
• Engineering experience in fluids, thermal, propulsion, avionics, electrical hardware, telemetry/communications, structural, ground operations or flight/ground autonomy.
• Possess strategic and proactive thinking and ability to communicate within timelines.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and perform reviews of system safety and reliability analyses (Hazard Assessments, FMECAs/HAZOPs, Fault Trees, CCA, RBAs).
• Evaluate safety products and requirements for compliance with system safety processes and standards.
• Implement and maintain system safety processes and identify improvements.
• Train and mentor engineers on system safety risks.
• Work with systems engineering to verify safety requirements.
• Assist in generating metrics and reporting on system safety statuses.
• Foster a healthy culture of system safety for New Glenn.
