Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an experienced professional to develop and implement Distribution System Operations Training for new and seasoned operators. The role combines classroom and on-the-job instruction with hands-on simulation to reinforce learning.

Eligibility includes hybrid schedules; qualifications include electrical engineering technology background and 5–10 years in electric power. Travel for emergencies and a supportive, safety-focused team culture are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to ten (5-10) years experience in electric power distribution, transmission or generation.
• Four (4) years of experience as a System Operator preferred.
• One (1) year of experience as a trainer in a formalized training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements Training for new and qualified operators.
• Includes classroom and on-the-job training with conceptual and hands-on methods.
• Incorporates simulation into training programs.
• Evaluates training requests and presents to Training management.
• Coordinates responses to system emergencies and participates in incident analyses.
