The role oversees engineers, coordinates multi-year lifecycle plans, and supports emergency operations. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and 8–10 years in power engineering are required, with travel as needed and a commitment to safety and performance.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
• Ability to independently develop, present and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments.
• Familiarity with power related software is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; assigns, prioritizes and directs work performed by at least 2 FTE Engineers.
• Responsible for the cost and performance of certain assets on the system including reliability analysis and monitoring of equipment condition.
• Develops, justifies and approves Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon and for ongoing projects.
• Ensures design and specification of additions, modifications and replacements to the transmission and distribution systems are completed accurately and on time.
• Develops preliminary engineering designs and associated details as necessary.
• Collaborates with other Engineers to ensure consistency and teamwork.
• Provides technical support and direction to operating areas during normal and emergency situations.
• Accountable for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Evaluates and selects technology and equipment for the system.
• Develops standards and procedures for design, operation and maintenance.
• Assumes the role of the Manager as required.
• Supports storm duty and major events as needed.
