Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a trainer to develop and implement Distribution System Operations Training for new and seasoned operators. The role blends classroom and hands‑on instruction and aligns with system safety and regulatory standards.

You will modify materials for changes in procedures, coordinate emergency response activities, and collaborate with systems operators, vendors, and management to ensure effective learning outcomes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
• 5–10 years in electric power distribution, transmission or generation.
• Experience as a System Operator and as a trainer in formal programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements training for new and qualified operators.
• Incorporates classroom and on‑the‑job training with hands‑on methods.
• Evaluates and updates training materials for regulatory changes.
• Assists in coordinating emergency response and event reviews.
• Represents training in meetings, committees and conferences.
• Evaluates vendor-provided training content for relevance.
