Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent technical field; master's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of systems engineering or domain engineering experience in complex programs.
• Experience contributing to trade studies, design reviews, or technical decision processes.
• Solid technical writing skills and ability to produce clear technical documents and decision summaries.
• Technical depth in at least one relevant domain with ability to learn across boundaries.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate documentation and analysis.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with senior staff to drive clarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for periodic architecture compliance reviews - gather inputs from domain architects and identify gaps.
• Maintain and update the system-level artifact suite - architecture summaries, budget inventories, decision records.
• Drive trade studies to closure: coordinate with engineers, track progress, document outcomes.
• Track actions from reviews and decisions through to closure; escalate as needed.
• Monitor changes and impacts to system-level compliance; flag critical issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional trade teams - scheduling and alignment.
• Translate model outputs into executive summaries to inform decisions.
• Contribute to preparation of system-level positions for executive reviews.
