Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the SETC Center in Tucson, AZ. You will focus on hardware/software integration, verification, flight test, and platform integration across diverse platforms. Hands-on testing and data analysis will drive solutions for complex defense systems.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience in integration/test, plus DoD clearance readiness. Onsite work and occasional travel up to 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems integration and test in lab or field environments.
• Planning or executing Platform Integration or Flight Test Missions.
• Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and solve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and verification documentation in simulations and real‑world environments.
• Support hardware buildup and integration, documenting builds and certifying units.
• Plan and execute tests across hardware builds from circuit card assemblies to final product, including EMI, battery, RF, thermal, and vibration tests.
• Coordinate platform integration with customer subsystems and launch platforms in lab or field environments.
• Plan and execute flight tests, including telemetry monitoring and safety coordination.
• Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues with data analysis and debugging.
• Collect and analyze data to assess performance and prepare detailed reports.
• Create documentation for tests and reviews such as TRR, CTS, and TDR.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams across functions.
• Lead a small team in integration and test activities.
• Support travel for tests up to 25% of the year.
