Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the SETC Center in Tucson, AZ to lead hardware/software integration, verification, and test activities across the Systems Engineering lifecycle. You will support hardware buildups, data analysis, test planning, and flight-test missions, working with customers and suppliers to deliver validated capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems integration and test in lab or field environments.
• Ability to plan or execute Platform Integration or Flight Test Missions.
• Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose technical issues.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform integration, verification, and testing of Effector systems per specifications.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, documentation, and execute tests.
• Support hardware buildup, integration, and certification for next stages.
• Plan and execute tests across hardware build levels (CCA to final product).
• Plan and execute platform integration with customer subsystems and launch platforms.
• Plan and execute flight test missions with telemetry monitoring and safety considerations.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and perform data analysis for reports.
• Create/modify documentation for Test Readiness Review, Consent to Ship, and Test Data Review.
• Collaborate across functions, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Lead a small team in integration and test activities.
• Support mission travel to test sites or vendor facilities up to 25% annually.
